Guilty of being an over-protective helicopter parent at times but LOVE independent play (unless of course I have to go to the top of the tower because a certain someone is afraid of heights and is freaking out b/c they can't get back down). Love It!

I know for me, I could never homeschool. Not only do I need time away from my kids and they need time away from me, but I am not a teacher. I am not educated enough to teach my children the skills they would learn at school. I try to teach math skills to my kindergartner at home for practice and it's HARD. I felt that way too last year. It's not funny when you are in the middle of it, but trust me when I say you will look back on these days and laugh. Take some time to reconnect with your son. Don't push too hard, and continually show your love. Believe me: It does get better!!!

I think my husband thinks I'm a miserable person sometimes because by the time he comes home I am often used up, touched out, and exhausted with a million things left on my to do list.
